Caring relationships are the heart and soul of Millwood Presbytyerian Church. Along with gathering for worship on Sunday mornings we encourage members and friends of the church to get connected to smaller community groups. Here are some examples of ongoing community groups in the life of the church:
Sunday morning classes during both worship hours. The 9:30 a.m. class meets every Sunday in the Upper Conference room. Classes are organized seasonally at the 11:00 a.m. hour. Past 11:00 a.m. classes have included Financial Peace University, parenting classes, and marriage enrichment classes.
Small Group Bible studies meet throughout the year at a variety of times, locations, and for different stages of life. There are over a dozen ongoing groups that are open to new additions and we start new groups as needed. For example our Sunday-evening young adult group started with one gathering and expanded to two groups to accommodate the growing participation.
Young Adult Sunday evenings with children’s programs. This group meets for six-week studies and has regular fellowship meals.
Navigators – monthly fellowship on the third Friday, at 12:00 p.m., here at MCPC, in the Fellowship Hall, for older adults
Presbyterian Women’s Group – Meets the first Thursday of the month at 11:00 a.m., all are welcome, mostly older adults
Women’s Bible Study – Thursdays at 12:00 p.m., all ages
Men’s Weekly Bible Study - Tuesday mornings, 7:00 a.m., in the Reception Hall at MCPC, all ages
