It is our desire to build a solid Biblical foundation for our children so they will come to experience God’s amazing love for themselves, and pursue an intimate relationship with Jesus. We offer children’s programs for children age six weeks through 5th grade.
Children ages 6 weeks - 36 months: Nursery Care 9:15 a.m. -10:45 a.m
Children 3 years through 5th Grade: 9:30 - 9:45 a.m. Children attend praise and worship with their families in the Sanctuary for the first 15 minutes of the service. Children are then dismissed for their classes at about 9:45 a.m.
Program Descriptions for the 9:30 Contemporary Service (class starts at 9:45)
Our Sunday School classes at 9:30 are divided into 5 age groups, each with its own volunteer lead teacher. Most children attend Sunday School at 9:30 though we do offer a one-room class at 11:00 for all ages.

Age 3-4 yr class Rm. 201 using Gospel Light curriculum. Children come to circle time to hear a Bible story, puppet show and singing. A large group activity following the story reinforces the lesson.
Gr K-1st in Rm. 211 using Gospel Light curriculum. Class starts at circle time to hear a Bible story, puppet show, and singing. A large group activity following the story reinforces the lesson.
Gr 2-4th in Rm. 216 teaches the Bible stories chronologically throughout a 3-year cycle. Your child will have a complete and thorough Biblical foundation by attending this class.
Gr. 5-6th in the Millwood Community Center (MCC). Pre-teens apply their knowledge of Bible Stories toward their current lifestyle/choices. This class teaches kids how to apply and live out God’s Word in their everyday life.
Program Description for the 11:00 Traditional service
Parents drop their children off in Rm. 211 before the service starts. This is a one room combo class where a Bible Story is taught for all ages of children up to 5th grade. The attendance at this class is much lower than at our 9:30 a.m. service.

Day Camps 2016
1st - 3rd Grade- July 11-14
4th -6th Grade -July 18-21
We load up the church vans and drive out to Camp White, our church recreation area with over 30 acres of wilderness in Post Falls. Campers sign up for the 1st-3rd gr or 4th - 6th grade week long sessions in July. At day camp, we spend the morning singing church camp songs, playing games, hiking around Camp White, arts and crafts, and hearing Bible stories. After lunch we spend the afternoon at the beach swimming in the water and playing in the sand! Lots of fun!
Vacation Bible School 2016- June 20-24
An exciting fun-filled week in June where we learn Bible stories, sing and dance to VBS songs, play outdoor games, have arts and crafts, and eat yummy treats. For kids age 4-6th grade. VBS at Millwood Presbyterian is usually the 3rd week in June. See our VBS brochure for more information (available in May of each year)
Camp Spalding Camps
It’s time to start planning for summer time fun! Camp Spalding is a recommended, Christian-based camp to send your children for summer camp. You can visit their website at: http://www.campspalding.org/ and check out the different types of sessions they offer. MCPC supports your child attending this camp, and is offering scholarships to help with the cost. Any parent interested in receiving a camp scholarship, please see Kim McGiveran and fill out a scholarship request form. You will need to register online at the Camp Spalding website. Please call 877-595-1512 if you do not have internet access and need a form mailed to you.
