West Valley Co-op Preschool

What is the CO-OP Preschool?..

  1. a unique early-childhood program with parent involvement
  2. a developmentally appropriate learning environment for children;
  3. a non-profit organization that is parent run and parent owned; and
  4. a parent education course offering non-graded credits through SFCC.
West Valley Co-op is an opportunity for your child to be exposed to a wide variety of educational experiences that stimulate his/her interest in the world. Parents work in the classroom one-day-a-week per child enrolled, and work as a team with the program facilitator (teacher) to provide the best learning environment.

Our preschool is affiliated with the community colleges of Spokane/Parent Education office. By participating in the Co-op parents are enrolled in a parent education course, and receive credit for their work in the preschool.

Millwood Presbyterian Church hosts the West Valley co-op preschool in our education facility free of rent. We are not directly involved in the leadership of the pre-school. The church provides the space as one expression of our vision to seek the welfare of our city and neighborhood, especially among families and children.
