Weekly Programs

It is our desire to build a solid biblical  foundation for our children
so they will come to experience God’s amazing love for them
and pursue an intimate relationship with Jesus. 
We offer children’s programs for children age 6 weeks—5th grade.



Sundays

Nursery Care
9:15 a.m. -12:15 p.m.   Nursery open  for children ages 6 weeks - 36 months.

Children 3yrs through 5th Grade
9:30 - 9:45 a.m. Children sit with their families in the Sanctuary for the first 15 minutes of worship and music. Children can leave for their classes at about 9:45.

Wee Belive Preschool class for 3 - 5 years, Room 211.
We Believe Elementarty class for  1st - 2nd grade, Room 216.
We Believe Elementarty class for  3rd - 5th grade, Room 201.
(If you come to worship with your child for the first time, please go with them and sign them in.)

Four days at Camp White, transportation provided, Cost is $30 for the week.
July 9-12, 2010, 9 am - 2:30 pm, Rising 4th & 5th Grade
July 16-19, 9 am - 2:30 pm, Rising 1st through 3rd Grade


Program Descriptions

Nursery
Children 6 weeks—36 months will be well cared for by our nursery staff and volunteers.

Wee Belive Preschool (9:45 & 11:10)
Children come to circle time to hear a bible story and sing songs.  A large group activity or craft project following the story reinforces the lesson.  Curriculum  from PCUSA.

We Believe Elementary (9:45 )
Children will hear the Bible story in a variety of settings including having a guest actor dressed in costume, kids acting out the story, or reading from the Bible.  Children discuss together with leaders how to apply this Bible truth to their lives today and then continue the lesson with large group activities or a craft project.  Curriculum from PCUSA.

Bible Buzz for grades K-5th.  
Kids explore the Bible lesson with hands-on activities, group games, and discussion.  Activities to reinforce lesson include sculpting with clay, drawing, singing, acting/charades, and more.  Plenty of action and fun take place in this class!


Day Camps
We load up the church vans and drive out to Camp White, our church recreation area with over 30 acres of wilderness in Post Falls.  Campers sign up for the 1st-3rd gr or 4th - 6th grade week long sessions in July.  At day camp we spend the morning singing church camp songs, playing games, hiking around Camp White, arts and crafts, and hearing Bible stories.  After lunch we spend the afternoon at the beach swimming in the water and playing in the sand!  Lots of fun!

Vacation Bible School
An exciting fun-filled week in June where we learn Bible stories, sing and dance to VBS songs, play outdoor games, have arts and crafts, and eat yummy treats.  For kids age 4-6th grade.  See our VBS brochure for more information (available in May of each year)

Camp Spalding Camps
It’s time to start planning for summer time fun!  Camp Spalding is a recommended, Christian-based camp to send your children for summer camp.  You can visit their website at:  http://www.campspalding.org/ and check out the different types of sessions they offer.  MCPC supports your child attending this camp, and is offering scholarships to help with the cost.  Any parent interested in receiving a camp scholarship, please see Kim McGiveran and fill out a scholarship request form.  The deadline for submitting these forms is April 26.  You will need to register online at the Camp Spalding website.  Please call 877-595-1512 if you do not have internet access and need a form mailed to you.
