I grew up in Kent, WA and graduated with a degree in business from the University of Washington.  If you are a Washington State Cougar fan, take note that I was born in Pullman to Cougar parents.  I sensed a call to ministry as part of the college ministry at University Presbyterian Church in Seattle and followed that sense of call to Fuller Seminary in Pasadena, CA.  Before coming to Millwood in August of 2004 my wife Nancy and I both served as Associate Pastors at Clear Lake Presbyterian Church in Houston, TX.  We have two daughters, Noel (seven and Lily (five).
I enjoy sea kayaking, gardening, reading, blogging, and fishing.

It’s so great to be back in the northwest!  I graduated from Whitworth College here in Spokane, but grew up in the same house in L.A. until then.   Like Phyllis, I’m also a PK.  Before attending Fuller Seminary from 1993-96 I spent 2 ½ years teaching English in Bangkok, Thailand and worked at the L.A. Mission Women’s Outreach.  Along with urban ministry, I have a heart for pastoral care- especially for making sure those who are unable to get to church each Sunday still feel connected as vital members of our church family.  Craig and I are so glad to be on staff together at Millwood Presbyterian.  What brings me joy?  Jogging and doing anything outdoors, going on “adventure dates” with Craig, and being a mom to our girls, Noel and Lily.

I have lived in (Boise) Idaho for most of my life.  I attended the University of Idaho where I received my BS in Child Development.  After working for the YMCA preschools, I returned to college at Boise State University for Elementary Education.  I taught 1st grade in both public and private Christian schools.  My husband, Trevor, and I moved to Spokane in 2007 with our two sons Zachary (5) and Conner (3).  As a follower of Christ, I am honored and blessed to be part of the wonderful staff and church family at Millwood Presbyterian.  I love working together with our Sunday School teachers to help our children grow in their personal relationships with God and His Son.  I enjoy cooking, baking, camping, bike riding, and am excited to grow my first garden in our new home this year!

I was born and raised in Monterey California.  I came to a saving knowledge through faith in Jesus Christ when I was five years old. Even though I was raised in a Christian home, at five I realized that even if I had only done one wrong thing in my life, once was enough to keep me separated from God. Because God loved me so much, He sent His Only Son Jesus to be the Savior of the world. Jesus Died on the Cross, was buried, and He rose again to pay for my sins . And Jesus has gone back to Heaven to prepare a place for me. Jesus gave us the Holy Spirit to live in us and work through us while we wait for Him. If you are in need of assistance concerning MCPC matters, don't hesitate to call or e-mail me.  I would be happy to help you .
